Jill Alexander, Western Region Ambassador

Jill for Announcement

Jill Alexander, CAP, is a qualified and exceptional administrative assistant.  She holds a degree in Professional Office Management from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.  In 2012, she obtained her Certified Administrative Assistant (CAP) designation.

Jill is no stranger to the Oil and Gas Industry; she has spent seven years in progressively advancing positions, including administrative support in ExxonMobil’s Downstream and Upstream organizations.  Jill served as the Mechanical Department Administrative Assistant at the ExxonMobil Beaumont Refinery from 2008 through 2010 then became the Intellectual Property & Licensing Administrative Assistant at ExxonMobil Upstream Research Center in Houston, Texas.  After four years, she relocated to California to assume her current role as the Torrance Refinery Leadership Team’s Administrative Assistant, supporting the Refinery Manager as well as the Mechanical, Process, SSHE and Technical Managers.

Jill’s strong suit is building and leading teams.  Her solid leadership skills have been sharpened by her experience with the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP).  She has served on numerous standing committees at the local and regional levels, as well as on ad hoc committees on the international level for IAAP.

She believes that it takes special knowledge and experience to be an Oil and Gas Administrative Assistant, so she currently supports Oil and Gas Admins International as the Western Regional Ambassador.  Motivated by Francis Bacon’s belief that “Knowledge is Power,” Jill’s goal is to educate other admins in the Oil & Gas Industry to grow their knowledge about the industry.

In her leisure time, Jill enjoys spending time with her husband Skot, daughter Skylar and tuxedo cat Bandit.  They currently reside in Beverly Hills, California.
